MENASHE from A24 Films, the studio behind the ‘Best Picture’ winner at the 2017 Academy Awards, will conclude the 41st Annual Atlanta Film Festival (ATLFF) with a red carpet screening and after party on Saturday, April 1, 2017.

This screening is presented in partnership with the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival. Executive Producer and Unit Production Manager Danelle Eliav is expected to attend and participate in red carpet interviews.

Deep in the heart of New York’s ultra-orthodox Hasidic Jewish community, Menashe, a kind, hapless grocery store clerk, struggles to make ends meet and responsibly parent his young son, Rieven, following his wife Leah’s death. Tradition prohibits Menashe from raising his son alone, so Rieven’s strict uncle adopts him, leaving Menashe heartbroken. Meanwhile, though Menashe seems to bungle every challenge in his path, his rabbi grants him one special week with Rieven before Leah’s memorial. It’s his chance to prove himself a suitable man of faith and fatherhood, and restore respect among his doubters.

The Executive Producer and Unit Production Manager Danelle Eliav (The Sheik, Floating Sunflowers, The Girl and the Spanish Boy, Marian) will complete red carpet photo ops and soundbites.
