The film is no stranger to changes, having shifted production last minute from Canada to Georgia back in March.
TWC-Dimension Films is moving Robert De Niro-starrer The War With Grandpa from an Oct. 20 release to Feb. 23 of next year, the studio announced Tuesday. The change is a result of a late start in production.
Based on the best-selling book by Robert Kimmel Smith, the film stars Oakes Fegley as Peter, who is forced to give up his bedroom when his Grandpa Jack (De Niro), with whom he used to have a close relationship, moves in with his family. The boy attempts to drive his grandfather out with a series of pranks, but Grandpa Jack won’t go down without a fight.
