Beth Nelson, Office Executive Director of the Savannah Area Film Office has been named by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal to the Georgia Film Music and Digital Advisory Board, the office announced Wednesday.
Nelson began as interim director of the office in late 2015 before officially taking the role in Aug. 2016. She has served on the Savannah Film Commission since 2012 and is co-president and a founding member of Savannah Women in Film and Television.
The board, which consists of those in the film, music and the digital industry, works with the Governor and the state’s Georgia Department of Economic Development to further expand those industries in the state.
