Taylor English Duma LLP is pleased to announce that Alan S. Clarke has joined the firm as a partner in the Entertainment Practice Group. Clarke previously served as Managing Partner of The Entertainment Law Group / Alan S. Clarke & Associates, LLC.

Clarke has experience representing recording artists, writers, performers, athletes, record labels, producers, managers, authors and others in the entertainment industry. Prior to starting his own firm, Clarke served as Assistant District Attorney and Assistant Solicitor at Rockdale Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
Outside of work, Clarke is heavily involved in serving the entertainment community. He has previously served as chair of the Entertainment and Sports Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia, the North American Entertainment, Sports & IP Law Summit and the Entertainment Law Institute. He is currently a member of The Recording Academy and The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS).
He lectures frequently on entertainment industry and intellectual property issues before legal associations and universities. Additionally, he has spoken to attorney groups with Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice Carol Hunstein on legal professionalism and ethics.
Representative of his work and community involvement, Clarke has been selected as a fellow of the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia. Clarke was also awarded the 2014 Georgia Lawyers of the Arts (GLA) Attorney of the Year award and the 2008 GLA Ben White Distinguished Service Award, which has been awarded fewer than five times in the last 34 years.
Clarke earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his law degree from Emory University School of Law.
