Lights, camera, and action for the people who filled the room of Poppin’ Stop in Hepzibah. The taste of gourmet popcorn wasn’t the only reason why the shop was packed.
There was an Independent Film Festival for filmmakers in Augusta to broadcast their work to the public. The festival consists of 5 short films/ webisodes and a spoken artist.
Karlton Clay hosted the event, he says he created the festival to give people a voice.
“I want to do something, especially in Augusta. I’m born here, raised here and I definitely want to see the film community continue to grow,” said Clay. “I want to be apart of that growth and be that beacon of hope for indie filmmakers.”
