The “first phase” of Atlanta’s fast-growing electric dance music festival is complete.
Imagine Music Festival, which is returning to the Atlanta Motor Speedway for the third-straight year in its five-year history, released the listing of its first-round of headliners for the camping festival set for Sept. 21-23. The list: Armin Van Buuren, Alesso, Galantis, RL Grime, Zeds Dead and special guest: Adventure Club. The festival said more headliners will be announced at a later date, joining a group of more than 40 other artists.
Last year, about 30,000 people per day descended on Atlanta Motor Speedway for the festival. Imagine hosted nearly 45,000 unique-concert goers in 2016, according to the festival. Festival promoters and owners of Atlanta-based Iris Presents Inc. Glenn and Madeleine Goodhand previously told Atlanta Business Chronicle that between 25,000 and 27,000 people attended the festival in 2015.
