A new film currently being hot in Columbus is fusing familiar Hollywood faces with locals to tell a story about faith and loss. “My Brother’s Keeper” by writer and executive producer Ty Manns is on location in Columbus over the next three weeks.

The Fountain City is positioning itself to become the new go-to city in Georgia for filmmaking, and if Manns-the visionary behind “My Brother’s Keeper” has anything to do with it-he’ll be at the forefront of the new movement, which begins with his latest story examining the effects of PTSD in a soldier returning home from war.

On the north side of Columbus a church has been transformed into a movie set for Manns’ latest film inspired by events from his childhood.
