Georgia’s statewide entertainment industry incentives have boosted its film industry to a $9.5 billion economic impact. For the industry to take its next steps, local incentives are among the tools that could help, experts say.
About 250 people turned out for Atlanta Business Chronicle’s The Business of Film event Dec. 6 at City Springs Performing Arts Center.
Topics of discussion included workforce development and retention, film financing, and the economic ripple effect of film productions on a small town. The keynote address, “Coming Attractions,” was delivered by Jeffrey Stepakoff, executive director, The Georgia Film Academy.
