Nick Laing, then senior producer on Forza, proved a very popular speaker when he first joined us in 2016. Now senior publishing producer for Amazon Games, he returns to give us even more insights into producing games, working with producers and becoming a producer yourself.
“Laing is one of those rare people who has handled almost every game development role there is,” said SIEGE Director Andrew Greenberg. “From game design to audio to art to production and more, few people have as keen an insight into what makes a good game as does he.”
Laing keynotes Day 1 of SIEGE2019 on Oct. 13, highlighting a day focusing on professional development and skill development. Other sessions include insights into launching a game on Steam, creating a game music business, working with the gaming press, developing multiplayer games and more.
If you want to attend SIEGE Oct. 13-15, you can buy your pass now. These are the cheapest prices you will find for SIEGE2019. Prices go up in September.
SIEGE is doing a number of things differently this year. First of all, SIEGE will officially run Sunday – Tuesday, over Columbus Day (Monday, Oct. 14) at the KSU Center. 12. Most of our regular events – Investment Conference, Indie Game Showcase, College Fair, keynote presentation, game dev tracks and the like will return. We are also adding a Professional Development Track for people already working in the game industry.
