Glynn Beard,

We learned recently that Glynn Beard, the head of Clayton State’s Digital Media Center passed away. We met him on a couple of occasions and found him to be truly passionate about entertainment in Georgia. Originally from Vancouver, Glynn worked in the industry for over 20 years. He will be missed by many. (See more about his background here.)

The SEC finally caught up with Jake Shapiro and the gang that pumped the micro cap studio development dream known as Medient Studios. The most entertaining thing about this company was watching their dog and pony show start and stop and start and stop again. Sadly, many good people were swayed by false and misleading statements of the executives. Let’s hope criminal charges proceed on top of the $1.8 million judgment that has been granted.
